On the cusp of fulfilling our dream to journey through this great nation and experience once-in-a-lifetime memories, we find ourselves anchored in a devastating quagmire, a mere six states away from completing our American odyssey of RV travels.

An accident ravaged the mobile sanctuary — a 2022 Grand Design RV Solitude fifth wheel we've called home for more than two years.

The villainy to end this American trek comes from the dark heart of Blue Compass RV.

We touched down in the idyllic Coeur d'Alene twelve weeks ago and visited Blue Compass RV Post Falls, ID. At first, all was hunky dory as they encouraged us to trade in the damaged and buy a new one with promises we’d resume our travels.

Contracts signed and a hefty deposit made, the true colors of Blue Compass revealed as certain employees exhibited blatant bias against these two married men in their 50s. An we ended up ensnared in a labyrinth of treachery and deceit orchestrated by Blue Compass RV.

These individuals, not content with mere contractual violations, have sadistically reveled in deepening our financial ruin and emotional torment, effectively holding us as hostage with no exit in sight.

Lawyers fees and hotel rooms later, we are leaving physically exhausted, emotionally empty, and financially bruised. The sole bright spot being the kindness of Kevin Killian, his wife Wende, and his sons, who gave us a place to land, extending a welcome to stay in their motorhome for a portion of our time here.

As the week comes to a close, we will dismantle our hopes, pack away our dreams, and vacate the space that was once our home, leaving behind not just a physical structure but a shattered vision of what could have been.
